Notice the coat of arm at the center of our foc t-shirt?

Here's the coloured version of it which was specially designed to suit our theme,"Conquer!"

A simple yet brilliant idea to represent our theme. Why so?

Let's take a look at the elements :

* Crest: Crown
King of all Kings!

* Wreath: Crown of thorns
Jesus died for us on the cross and conquered our sins

* Mantling: Palm leaves
Palm Sunday emphasize the glory and victory in the work of salvation when He died for us

* Helm: Dove
A symbol of the Holy Spirit. "Not by might, not by power, but by the spirit of God"

*
Shield: Agnus Dei
Agnus Dei is a visual representation of Jesus as a lamb holding a cross. The cross rests on the lamb's shoulder and is held in its right foreleg. Often the cross will have a white banner suspended from it charged with a red cross (similar to St George's Cross), though the cross may also be rendered in different colours. Sometimes the lamb is shown lying atop a book with seven seals hanging from it. This is a reference to the imagery in the Book of Revelation 5:1-13, ff. Occasionally, the lamb may be depicted bleeding from the area of the heart (Cf. Revelation 5:6), symbolizing Jesus' shedding of his blood to take away the sins of the world (Cf. John 1:29, 1:36).

* Supporters: Angels-
blowing the truimph of joy

* Motto: Gloria in Excelsis Deo
Glory to God in the highest

Every FOC, God gives the CSS a different message, and truly this year's one is "Not by might, nor by power, but by the Spirit of God". When we trust in Him, He empowers us and when we think we are too tired to go on, He strengthens us. He has outpoured His Mercy to the point of overflowing and has made all things well. Amen

Reflections

Praise God that this FOC is truly amazing for HE has touched our hearts in one way or another.

"This camp has really brought me not just new friends of the same faith, but has also allowed me to see that the catholic society and God is not just a boring thing that i was foreced to know.. Really hope that after this camp, I can be brought closer to God and have a chance to grow in my faith. Deciding to come for this camp on my own accord is the first step towards this. Hope that my faith can be strengthened after this exp =p"

" Dear Jesus,
a Great Thank you for the fine weather You have given us for the day. Thank you for watching over Games, letting it run well although there was still modification to them last minutes. Thank you for games run smoothly and we all had fun. Lord, thank you for the freshies, for the senoir. Amen"

" The trip to St Joseph's home really opened my eyes. The old folks were so happy despite having many old age problems and just a simple song could brighten thier day up. I've learnt that i should not be so caught up with my flaws and just thank God for his many blessings. It's really good knowing that i had brighten someone's day just by being there"

"...while doing cheers, she affirmed me that the job of facil is not easy but quite stressful. Feeling tired now. Hugs from fellow facils gave me strength and encouragement that i was not alone.
Praise the Lord."

" Dear God,
Thank you for this day, for all the fun,laughter and joy you have given! To be honest, watching the video stuck a chord in me. Can I be as self-sacrificing as the bridge master? or am I like the passengers on the train,watching the world go by? Sometimes, I am so contented in my comfort zone that i forget why you choose me to be your servant. Help me Lord, never to forget why you called me :)"

"...As a befriender, although I had initially felt it is a "less important"role, i was reminded once again how the Lord chooses to work his will through each and everyone of us and indeed in the least expected. As it is said in scriptures, the eye cannot say to the hand: i do not need you etc. We all work together as a team; each of us has to play our role for God's glory to take place"

"Father,
Before i close off for tonight, I'd just like to say to the Lord, I Love you. It has been such as exhuasting day,but when it came to PnW, I really cant explain but it just made me wanna praise you even more. Honestly, I really dread the exhuation, but I now know that it is cos of the exhuastion that made it obvious that I'm only but human and I need you Father. And it was the exhuastion that made the PnW so much meaningful. Really"

"Dearest Father,
Many things I can be thankful and greatful for today. Most of all, I just want to give you all thanks and praise, for it is through you alone that I even have things and people to be thankful for. You created all things great and beautiful and i thank you for that. I ask for your continued blessing for the freshmen and seniors alike, and especially for all those who so painstakingly planned this FOC."
